Support Camp Newman's
Grief & Growing Retreat

At the 2026 Grief and Growing retreat, our belief was affirmed in the importance of a dedicated program that allows us to gather together as mourners in an intentional space for Jewish prayer, ritual, healing, and growth. Our next Grief and Growing retreat will be February 19-21, 2027 at URJ Camp Newman, we hope you will consider joining us.

Inspired by the 25+ years of the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center’s program of the same name, Grief and Growing offers opportunities for participants of all ages, infants through elders, to come together in community to experience the healing power of community and the power of gathering at Camp Newman.

Over a nurturing weekend program, participants will be invited to connect through the use of art, Jewish ritual, bodywork, nature, movement, all in the company of those also experiencing the process of rebuilding a life without the person who has died. Individuals, couples, and families with children of all ages are welcome.

In order to bring this program to even more participants and ensure it's long-lasting impact, we are counting on the support of the community. Please consider making a gift today.
